Red Rider: Down was written during the summer 1981 and was set at the Army Air National Guard base just outside of McAllister. In 1986 the story was renamed Ghost Rider Down and was re-written to follow an Army Reserve pilot who is participating in a search and rescue mission. He is searching for an aircraft that went down between McAllister and Bedford. What he found during his search was beyond incredible
